I changed my mind on repairing the sunroof on the rangie as it turned out it wasn't that causing my water leak.
Picked up a used motor and all works fine apart from the sealant that had previously been used to seal up the none leaking sunroof had stuck so well it ripped the seal.
Ive searched and searched but can't find anywhere that sells the seals other than main dealer.
Any ideas??

I saw those ones but they don't look like the right part
Having said that I can't think where that part would go as the only seal I can see is the one that I need which goes around the edge of the glass. Maybe I'll prefer on and send it back if it's wrong.

I did wonder that myself but might be worth asking them or a main dealer. Does the seal actually come off the glass or maybe you have to buy a new glass ...

Yep only sold with the glass attached. Spoke to a dealer earlier. Bargain at £480 haha
Looks like another bodge will be needed

I did buy a used one today. Hopefully it'll arrive early next week.
Just hoping either the seal or the glass can be removed with it in situ

It might be me being a muppet but I could only find instruction on how to remove the whole lot. Roof lining out job.
It's either because they don't expect just the glass to be removed or because it's not possible

I'll have a look later, that could be the case, have you ordered the complete sunroof and motor etc?
if so, you will get a good idea of how the glass fits into the rest of the mechanism

No separate seal is listed for the L322 as far as i can see. But the P38 does have a replaceable seal whether it would fit or not i don't know.

no unfortunately not. Spoke to a specialist who have both sunroofs and a p38 seal for sale so they compared the 2 and they aren't compatible at all and the seal doesn't fit on the L322 glass.
Fingers crossed I'll be able to either remove the seal or the glass with the roof in the car. Failing that I guess I'll have to strip the roof lining etc.

Not sure what happened there. Wouldn't post it them posted it 3 times

I thought about a different type of seal but I'll see what I can do with this second hand sunroof first.

An update in case it helps anyone in the future. I bought a second hand sunroof. Got the entire cassette but minus the motor delivered. Under £30 all in which was mega cheap.
Anyway turns out its 6 T25 torx bolts to swap the glass over. Easy job.
Happy days. Another cheap fix.
