Where is the cruise control ecu?

Hi All

2004 Freelander V6 PETROL. I have a cruise control master switch fitted plus steering wheel controls plus the gubbins under the bonnet as far as I can see. I don't appear to have any ECU fitted under the seats?

Any ideas?

Was cruise and option?

If so, would all the other kit be fitted so someone could choose to retrofit>=?

I've got a 2002 td4 auto and retrofitted the Land Rover cruise control

there should be a small connected underneath the drivers seat carpet, u should see a small slit in the carpet the plug should be underneath that

if u pop over to the freelander section there's plenty of write ups about it

will normally only work with an auto and have to have the wires underneath the carpet

on some of the facelift models the wires wernt there for some reason

Hi

Thanks for the info. I'll look for the plug first and then take it from there. Not used to Freebies only had Discos and defenders previously, so bit in the dark.

no probe , happy to help

plus if everything is there, get second hand ecu so that u don't need to get it plugged in to a testbook

is urs an auto by the way , if u do a search in the freelander section I've posted pics of what the plug should look like

Yes it's an auto as the wife only drives them. Will look out for the pics.
