I'm in the process of fitting a manual inflation kit to my '97 P38a.

The car went into Hard Fault mode yesterday, it's a problem I've had a couple of times and my local indi' has diagnosed the EAS control box, the one attached to the valve block, as the problem.

I've fitted a new control box but as the car is in EAS fault mode I can't lower it to access mode to safely take the pneumatic lines off the valve block. I've read that there is a drain valve but I'm bu**ered if I can find it. An idiots guide to where it is would be great. :D

Any help gratefully received.

Thanks in advance

Tim

There isn't one, you need T4 to deflate the system properly, although i never bother. just pull the pipes off.

Thanks, have now fitted the manual kit, so just need to book it in to have the ECU reset.

Long shot but there isn't anyone in SE Kent who has a Rovacom and fancies doing me a favour is there? Bit gutted to have to pay £35 to get it reset again.

Thanks

Tim

You can pull the pipes off, but beware of the high pressure (Up to 140 psi).
There should be a drain plug on the air tank under the car. I'll have a look on the Rovacom forum to see if there is someone local

Hi Tim- have put a query on the Rovacom forum for a user in S.E. Kent to give you a dig out. As soon as I hear back, I will advise.
In the meantime, if you get sorted, let me know.
Cheers

That's great, thanks.

I've been trying to contact the local indi', that I use, but he's not answering his phone so I can't get it booked in, so any local help with a Rovacom to simply carry out a reset would be great.
