Obviously I know it connects to the sender, but where does the plug on the other end connect to? I can't find where the damn thing connects to!

Also doesn't seem to be mentioned in the workshop manual. Ta

Not saying this is correct but I it helps mine comes from a
Power aurply connected from the ignition (white wire under dash I think) to the level and then to the meter and then earth.

For mine it goes into a three way switch as I have two senders for two tanks but it's off the white wire under dash and then to the sender.

Hopefully it's correct.

Nah, don't think so. There is a cable with a green and a black connector at one end which connects to the tanks, then there is a black plug on the other end which plugs into a standard connector somewhere. From memory there are 2 options:

1. it is around the transfer box area
2. it is near the main connectors in the engine bay

but I really can't find it!

It is only about 2 feet long so can't go very far!

Done a lot more searching and looks like the connector is under the air box somewhere. So will take it into the daylight after work and have a look.

The wiring changes from model to model, but here is my findings:

It comes up the rear lights loom, I think beside it, although it might go into the same loomed run of cables, up the front of the bulkhead and connects into one of the multi-connetors up next to the clutch pedal box.

There are 3 wires I think, only 2 of them are actually need, and I think you will find it is a black and green, might not be solid green, but green and maybe a thin white... .

If you look on this forum, for my "Defender Bodywork Rebuild" I am sure, I post photos of these things and it may make it all clearer.
