Just fitted wheelchair hoist to my TD4 some pics if any one is interested,

It has 4 bolts throught the floor and a supporting arm to the left side pillar,
manufactures say that the lift not exeed 75 Kgs,
But I think it may lift more,
But I don't think i will need to as my wifes electric wheelchair weighs 72Kgs.

72 kgs for a wheel chair that is heavy you can get light weight ones but are very costly a pair of alloy ramps might have been cheaper but now you have it fitted there was a hoist on ebay that was fixed to the front seat but I do not know what it went for but very usefull for disabled

A very impressive piece of kit there.

Not everyone understands the problems associated with electric wheelchairs.

I've had experience with electric wheelchairs and it isn't just the weight that is a problem - it's the balance.

It would take two strong guys to grapple with it to lift it bodily up and in.

I don't think ramps would work for a Freelander as the chair has to be crossways in, I would think.

Anyhow well done mate - I'm sure your wife will appreciate it.

Thank you for that, I will post more photo's when we get the chair,
she is getting the chair 11th of this month but she is not allowed to use it outside until the ramp is fitted outside the front door ,
red tape health and safety and all that **** if you know what I mean.
