Wheel spacers and wheel bearings

While my ‘97 D1 was up for an oil change (10w30), doing the 6-12 tire pull clearly answered the question as to why I get an on-off rumbling from the passenger front tire. Bad wheel bearing. That being said, my vehicle came with wheel offsets. Happily having sold them, the steering is better and not as heavy, and probably putting less force on the power steering. Not sure about this but I think the offsets could have put more pressure on the wheel bearings, due to their extra distance outboard. Anyway I have Timken bearings and grease, a large socket for that thrust nut, washers and seals.

This section is for pictures of Members Vehicles and build projects, as the first thread in the section describes.
Could you post your technical questions in the Discovery section, where they will get more attention, and not clutter up this section.
