thanks.

This is a genuine concern of mine, but how many folk have appeared at their 'Fender to find it balanced on bricks or devoid of a spare wheel? Are security wheel nutz a waste of time...

They are a deterrent not a prevention. If someone is determined and is given the time and opportunity to nick your wheels they will. Sad fact of life unfortunately.

Bastids, I have a Flatdog pedal lock, steering wheel lock and gear lever lock with the battery disconnected and its parked under a tree and nothing available the thieve, so hopefully HIAB is out f the question - yet I still half expect it gone each morning. Furthermore, the other day some chancer had jammed a 'we buy any 4x4' postcard in my drivers door window seal so its now on someones radar, bastids.

I get a few of those. I keep them in case it gets stolen, so there are some clues as to where to begin looking. As far as wheel nuts go, I've only got the standard Land Rover splined locking nuts, so all someone would need is the relevant sized locking wheel nut remover socket. Locking wheel nuts are OK against casual fiddlers, but someone determined, with time and tools would be able to get them off.

At the end of the day if you fit locking wheel nuts where are you going to leave the unlocking key cos if it's kept in your vehicle and they want the wheels that badly then they can just break in and nick the unlocking key... If they want something that bad they'll have it regardless of what you fit

Lets face it the only way that your vehicle and wheels will be ignored by the thieving scum IS if your Landy s a rusty wreck with tyres that are bald! on rims that have hit more kerbs than your mother in-laws Honda!
