Silly me thought they would go straight on......

But i don't know what year car the wheels came off or what type of wheel nuts i need ,, can anyone help.

The pic is of the wheels i bought.

Thanks all

The only thing I can offer is the fact that the nuts to suit alloys are very different to the ones used for steel wheels so be very careful what you use!

As many people on here swap wheels around it should not be long before someone with some 'wheel savvy' comes along.

Dave

alloy ones have washers that the wheel nut tightens up against rather than the wheel.
if you use normal wheel nuts they wear out the wheel when you tighten them up

Hi i have done the same as you did did you resolve this issue as i have 2000 w reg discovery and just got the same alloys and then noticed they are diffrent nut type iv'e seen the wheels on a range rover but unsure if its a straight swap????????? any help appricated:(

they sell sets on ebay and single nuts just type in land and nut and they come straight up
as it stands there seems to be three types one that seems to match they alloys in top pic and the wide ones for td5 discovery and then origanal discovery wheels
i need to know are all the threads diffrent know mk1 disco and mk2 are
but is mk2 disco my w reg and the range rover thin nut the same thread???

Hi, the thread size on the landrovers and rangerovers are all m14 x 1.5. The only difference is the size of the holes in the wheels. It depends on when the wheels were made to what size holes they have. Up to 2002 they are 29mm from 2002-2005 they are 20mm and 2005 on they are 22mm. The best way to be sure is just to measure the holes in the wheels you have. All sizes are available from this advert anyway. Just state the shank size required in the comments box.
Many thanks
