wheel nut torque settings?

Hi

Can anyone tell me the correct torque setting for the wheel nuts on an 86"
series 1.

I always just tighten them by hand spanner/brace as much as I can. Never
had one come loose that way, whereas I have had them come loose after
being put on with an air tool.

If you're strong enough to shear them, please contact me off group

Do them up until they strip and then back them off 1/4 of a turn. ;-)

Seriously though, 100 lb-ft is plenty.

75 to 85 lb/ft - avoid the temptation to over-tighten them as they
can pull through the rim - only seen it once, but the owners trousers
were scrap....
