wheel fitments and tyre sizes

Hi,
I have my first question for you all (first of many probably):

I have a set of wheels and tyres that were fitted to my S3.. They are 8 spoke steel wheels fitted with 750 tyres... will these fit my "new" series 1 Disco?

If this is a really daft question feel free to take the ****

I fitted a set 750x16 SAT pattern tyres on my Disco 1 for off road days. Wound out the steering stops a tad and cut a tiny bit of the bottom of the rear arches.

( its awesome offroad, by the way ! ).
