Hi Guys
I am looking for some information from those you that are currently running EGT Gauges on 300/200tdi's.
I have boost and EGT, have done some playing with the injection pump. My Gauge only reads from 300 deg c onwards, around town and under normal driving conditions I very rarely see the needle move. On the motorway cruising at 80 it reads 500 deg c, I have read somewhere in one of the tuning threads on here that people were seeing 700 without pump adjustments?
I have my probe mounted on my EGR blanking plate, only under full chat do I see an increase over 300deg c, does this sound about right? Shes got plenty of poke too, the power band comes in at around 2,200 and lasts well into the 3,500-4,000 Range seemingly pulling more and more.
I get black/hazey smoke just off idle and right through the range, hard to tell how much at full chat like but certainly not black sooty clouds.
