Whats wrong with my air filter?

Purchased a new air filter today and it seems to be missing a part, my old filter has this large top which seals the air filter shut but the new one seems to be missing it,
I thought maybe the top part comes off the old filter but it looks like its one sealed unit?

Its supposed to be for a disco 200tdi

have i ordered the wrong part?

i had better message them and ask for a replacement

I made a similar mistake a while back, which is how I know there are 2 different filters for a 200tdi.

At least you didn't do what I did and waste an hour or so trying to remove the lid. :cool:
 
The seller has responded on ebay and will be sending out the correct part in the morning along with a postage label for me to send to old item back.

Not sure if anybody has used this seller before but i have got to say how impressed i am with their customer support, both helpful and friendly (plus the fact its 9pm)

all in all, very pleased
