Hi All, I have a 2004 TD4 and whilst checking a tyre I noticed what looks like some sort of gear linkage with a balljoint and a cup beneath it but its not connected to anything. My car appears to be running ok but I was wondering what this piece is and should it be connected to something - attached two pics looking in from the drivers side wheel arch, the item in question is located approx. in the middle of the engine bay just infront of the streering rack and bulkhead - any ideas???

Dunt wurry bout that mate, its jus ya brakes!!:)

Oh if its just the brakes no worries only goes quickly downhill which isn't a problem cause it'll never make it to the top of a hill in the first place.....

Turns out it is connected to a rod/bar which is obscured from view and its part of the gear linkage.
