This has probably been asked by most newbies over the years, but......

What is the best landy to buy, Defender of Discovery, with a budget of £3000?

Al

dpeends what you want to do wiv the vehicle.
Deepender is the best off road, Disco is more comfy and family friendly.
You need to think about what you intend to do with it.
Discos are generally cheeper for the same age / mileage / condition.

Driven a deepender at the GF work, not sure mini me would fit in too, but I like em, generally I#m after an all rounder, got to be a good drive/ride, be used for work and also my new toy to get dirty. Mileage per week can be upto 750, nut trying to get that down to 300.

Been looking at Disco's at bout 120-150k miles, how long should they go on for?

nah - one thing I won't feck about with is Gas - Leccy and water yes, but not something that can blow me up or kill me with carbon monoxide!
Had a gas leak once - it was accumulating behind the dry-lining in the wall - fecin lucky to spot it.
Boiler's due it's annual service in November, so I guess i'll get that bought forward to avoid an extra call-out charge.

dunno, i used g wagens 4 years, av ya seen the cost ov 'em now........holy poo..
so i gets discos to destruct...ok tho, quite impressed...good mpg, comfy...& for around 3k, who gives a truck.....just check it out good....200tdi seem to be cool.....;)
