I got to make a decision. My ace pipes are rusty. They arnt leaking yetbut I'm worried as I spend my winters in the French mountains. If I don't get them replaced and they go, I will probably have to have them fixed at a French stealer getting screwed twice (dealer prices + euro). If I replace them here still a lot to pay, and they may still last for another year or even longer.

See my problem? Advice and opinions appreciated.

Thanks

If you think they are still sound but rusty on the surface only, give them a good scrape / wire brush and then coat them with a thick layer of general purpose grease well rubbed on.
They will probably last for years then.
Repeat the grease treatment once a year.
Do the same to your brake pipes while your at it.

It's hard to tell, it looks like they have swollen around the front of the ace block under drivers seat. They are currently coated thickly in waxoyle. Obviously on twisty mountain roads, I guess the ace and pipes would be under a lot of pressure and load!
