Hi,
Have a 300 TDI engine that I need to swap the fuel pump. Does anybody living near Gravesend have a quick way of doing this without removing the skin from your knuckles?? Engine is out of the car so I cant engage diff lock etc.
Or can anybody tell me what way the crankshaft pully bolt turns to undo it??
many thanks

You'd get more help mate if you posted in the Discovery section but here goes..........If you havent got a windy gun you'll need a good spanner and a good lump hammer, the crankshaft pulley bolt thread is right hand, so to undo you need to be belting the spanner anti clockwise.
Good luck:D :D

You should have a dowel pin on the rear face of the engine, its a plain pin that locates the bell housing to the rear of the engine. Lock the flywheel from rotating using a large screw driver or chiesel in the starter ring gear then undo as above.
