Ive read a bunch of Oil conversion threads, so dont worry this isnt another Q i could have just searched for.

Im wondering if anyone's ever had any experience or heard of which is best, with different types of veg oil E.g. derived from Soya beans or other ?

Any help much appreciated, Thanks

I've read that rapeseed is the best, that is what I use. Not tried any others so can't really comment only that I've spoken to people who have tried lots and say rapeseed is the best. You want one which doesn't have anti foaming agent in it though, so its just pure oil.
Tesco have a deal on at the mo I think, 2 for £10 on 5 litre bottles, so £1 a litre.

Just do a google for Flash point of vegetable oils. Will answer your questions. The higher the flash point better it will burn, and burn cleaner. Rapeseed and soy are 2 of the best

Other way about - the flashpoint of DERV is 62°C and the autoignition temperature is 210°C.

The flashpoint of veg oil (generic) is 327°C, and it can go as high as about 500°C for some oils.

The lower flash point oils are: Walnut Oil (£5 a litre), Hemp Oil, Flax Seed Oil, Coconut Oil, Corn Oil, Olive Oil... As you can see some of pricer oils!

Sunflower oil is up about 227°C but that burns OK (unless it's cold out).
