I have Googled landrover Vogue 2006 and looked on flea Bay and disregard the petrol ones, seems to what I can find there was a change that Yr
That's the start point. You then have to find examples from when they changed, as Andy has already stated it is the facelift model. I'm not being an ass for the hell of it. Knowing these things will help if you decide not to go for Andy's bit on the side. Don't just search AutoTrader/bay of e, go on an information hunt for all you can find about the 2006 l322. There are sites out there that can tell you everything and don't know about you but I always feel a bit pleased when I find it myself.

I always take a look on Wikipedia as there is usually a good breakdown of the model and engine updates. They also list any special edition models that I find a good inspiration for easy DIY upgrades if you don't want to pay the premium for the genuine article. You can also use that info to spot the dodgy fakes that sadly are out there. Happy searching and don't worry about missing any that you like the look of there's sure to be another.
Tricky.

You've got to look further down the page/s than wiki, for images of interior and even more detailed than the folks on here get ;) Some of them are probably where Ant goes for holiday reading :D

Thanks for the reply, I had already looked on there and it says BMW 2.9, 2002-2006 Ford 3.4 2007<, not teaching anyone to suck eggs, this is why I asked

Please inform me, what the differences are on the "face-lift"
I'm going to let you into a little secret. Earlier this evening I did not know the answer to that but due to the thread I went searching. I now know. Try doing the same! Put some effort in, instead of 'oh wiki doesnt tell me , you can'.

GR fed up with this sh1t and signing off this frequency.

I looked at wiki twice, once a week ago and once today.
Thing I find disappointing is that when I was an "expert" on forums (quads) I did my upmost to help people and never got tired of telling people the pitfalls /gains of quad ownership.so I don't know why your being so critical
I am doing my homework that's why however many post back I asked the simple question of model /engine it was, all of a sudden I'm getting ****.

2002>2005/6...........2 wing gill slats with big headlights and headlight wipers and straight sided front grill.
2005/6>2009/10 ............3 wing gill slats with shorter headlights, no wipers and contour sided front grill that matched into the headlights shape. (Beware, there is a hideous aftermarket grill that pretends to be face lift)

2002>2005/6.........central dash air vent high up on top of the dash, 2006> below satnav.

2002>2005/6........ignition key forward right of gearstick with cig lighter forward left, on centre console.
2005/6. on............ignition key on dash to left of steering wheel but right of centre air vent, on left of centre air vent is a dual glove box button

The above is purely a guide, I'm not sure, nor care of exact timelines, but it's thereabouts/ish.

Yes, I think the TD6 is sometimes classified as a 2.9.
Post 2006/7 they replaced the TD6 with a Ford/Jag 3.6 V8 TD.
This then grew to 4.4 TD.

You'll soon learn the differences.

Yep all of the above, interior fots to follow, I've been spread a bit thin but interior needs a tidy up but I have been concentrating on the engine but didn't get to do anything today.
The interior is much the same as the 02-05, although sat nav / radio etc is the touch screen type everything else is same, no knob to play with:)

Front end is the bumper with the dip in it for the grille and plastic headlights with integrated indicators as seen in the pictures and as pointed out there is a an aftermarket 'updated grille' for the the 02-05 that just overlaps the square headlights but doesn't leave room for the headlight wipers so they sit at an angle. The later headlight washers changed to the high pressure jet as on this one, both types are a legal requirement when HID lights are fitted.
The body design changed to the facelift either late 05 early 06 and the BMW M57 3.0 TD6 engines ran on into 06 although some of the electrics had changed to incorporate the touch screen infotainment and high speed canbus system which i think also has fibre optic.
Anyway this is the TD6 3.0 M57 BMW engine as fitted to the 02-05 {06} but with the updated sat nav and front grille / headlights.

Thanks for the reply, I knew about the change in headlight design, but didn't know the rest, I will keep looking and learning :)

Many thanks for the clarity, and just keep me posted on how your getting on, we are in no hurry

OK, turbo is off.. again. Checked the calibration of the VNT actuator and have adjusted it by 1 mm but when I stripped the turbo before to free up the vanes i gave the pipes a look over to check for splits and all looked good. However, i have a habit of when i undo a jubilee type clip i move it down the pipe a bit and then nip it up again so I don't lose it which is what i did last time i had the turbo off but this time i did the same but for some reason i took the clip off and i happened to glance down at the pipe and spotted something which can be seen in the fot below.

I can honestly say, i think the last time i was so happy to see a split I was sixteen :D

Anyhoo, moving on, I have the EGR valve and MAF off to clean and replaced a turbo vacuum pipe that feeds the reservoir and i will order a new turbo pipe or pipes and refit it all and report back.
I love taking stuff apart :)
