Well here goes with my tale of woe:hurt:,

My disco 1's transfer box went a while ago at the same time as the tax and mot ran out and I didn't have the funds / time to sort it out. So it's been sitting in the garden for a while.
Having eventually got enough cash together to sort it I got the offer of a very tidy '86 efi with a 2" scorpion lift and lpg for the exact amount of money it's gonna cost me to fix the disco.( I'm sure you can see the choices.)

1: Sell the disco for spares and buy an economical car and save a little money, (not gonna happen)

2: Fix the disco, mot & tax it and spend all your spare money

or

3: Buy the rrc, sell the disco for spares and have the money you've saved up to pay for whatever it needs first.

Well I went to see the rangie tonight, had as good a look over it as I know how too, took it for a test...........................................................and bought it!

I'll get some piccies up tomorrow,

any advice / abuse is appreciated.

Cheers, matt.

tranny box is only going to be about 50 quid

least you know what's wrong with yours, that classic could be a right lemon

wasn't just tranny box mate, was a few other bits aswell that would have cost me the price of the rrc. if it goes bad, oh well i'll have some fun in the v8 in the meantime.
It's a learning curve I guess.

another option is to break the rr sell off all the good bits and fix the disco, you might even have a few quid left over
