The roof liner is starting to sag a bit in my Disco. Nothing major, so want to sort it before it all starts to sag. What's the best solution to sort it?

The first two pics is the same spot, drivers side above windscreen. The other spot is above passengers window- not actually come away like the first example bit it ain't stuck to the roof anymore. It's sort of just flopping about!

Cheers guys.

Roof linings are cloth bonded to foam. It is the foam that is stuck onto the roof lining panel. When the foam deteriorates the cloth falls away from it and produces sag. Just gluing it back up will never look good a new lining is needed for a proper job. Head lining kits are available but if you have never done one before, it can be a bastard of a job to get a tidy look.

Hi m1dge
You could do the same as I did !
Take it out , take cloth off, rub the foam off using p60 grit paper, then stone chip it.!
I used 6 cans on mine only because I din't get all the glue of from when I tried to re stick were it had sagged ,
You only need 4 cans if there aint any glue left on , did mine grey to go with interior, bit darker but a lot better than a saggy top !

Very simple solution, get a can of adhesive spray thats used to fix carpet down, did mine a couple of years back and its still in place

Thanks for the replies.

Think I'll get a new head lining kit and find somebody who can change it for me.
