Hi,
I'm looking at putting some chequer plating over the back of my Landie, plan being that if i leave half of it bolted down and put the wheel flat on top, then hinge the other half with gas struts to make easy access to the storage space... (as well as the drop down tail gate)
So, my question being, what thickness chequer would you recommend? I was thinking 3mm should be enough - i'll obviously put some cross supports in, but it needs to be strong enough to walk on, have crap thrown on it & of course the spare wheel...
Cheers
Mike
