Hi, does anyone live or pass through Wythall???? I have just got a new innertube for my rear - while i was at the garage another Landroo ver owner had a quick nose at my vehicle, said i have a 2" lift at the back but not the front... Have just done a quick measurement and found...

The Front
33 1/4"" from the floor to the bottom of the plastic wheel arch bit

The Rear
34 1/2 from the floor to the bottom of the plastic wheel arch bit

Also, he noticed that one of the bolts that hold the spring (in place) at the top of the spring was missing, said i need a new ring??

So i guess i need to get some new shocks and springs??? Anyone know where to get them from, costs, how to fit??????

Would like to show my defender to someone who knows them inside out to find out what needs to be done!

Many thanks,

Al:D

you might just have heavy duty springs on the back which make it higher when no load on. You can get new shocks and springs from loads of places: paddocks, scorpion racing etc etc Back are easy to change and front rnt to bad i did mine recently. Theres a good fred on ere how to do fronts And yes if one of the bolts is gone you will need a new ring as they are a single part. You can get them all over the place as well

Cool! thanks for replying... So.. i might not have a lift - just have heavy duty (yellow) springs and (yellow) shocks... How do i find out if they are heavey duty or lifted????

Many thanks,

Al

yer if he was using it for towing he mite of. Yup that te badgers! Tho if ur thinkin of replacing suspension would be worth doing it when you swap them. Cos ur gonna hav to take the spring and shock off to put it on. If u look at tht link i posted earlier tht will show you basically wot to do and you can make ur own mind up about wether u think ur up for it. if ur reasonably practical you should be fine!

Probably leave it to someone know knows what he's doing!!!

Will still try and find someone who can have a look at the 90 for me and point out things that need sortin!

Thanks for all you help!

Al

Sorry for not spotting this sooner.
No they're not lift springs, they are just heavy duty ones. The chap before me had them fitted, not really sure why as it didn't do any towing. There's not even a towbar.
