OK, my boss has asked me to sort some tyres out for him for his 2001 P38 RR.

He has the stock 16" alloys on there which are currently fitted with some BF Goodrich A/T tyres, but they are a relatively narrow tyre - a 225 wide fitment, not sure on profile (would guess 70 or 75?).

The car is used 90% on the road, but he fancies coming greenlaning and light offroading with us, plus use in the snow, so wants to stick with a chunky A/T tread pattern.

What I want to know is what size should he go for? He would like to get a wider tyre to give it a 'squarer' stance, so we were considering a 235/70/16, which I have on my Classic.

Could he go wider than this? A 255/65/16 for instance? Same rolling radius as a 235/70/16 but would they fit on a P38 OK?

Cheers guys!

Had 255 / 65 16 AT2's on my p38.
