:hijacked:
was gonna start a new fred but reckon this is close enough
Does anyone know of a decent way to refurb an old series steering wheel.....now my old gurl is looking quite together the wheel really lets her down and fed up with manky black hands on damp mornings. Got a leather cover on the way but any ideas/****-taking/abuse for the spokes?
Quite fancy one of those shiney metal spoke jobbies but they are selling for silly money
12 inch is pretty small! How is it seeing your dials?? What size are the massive standard 4 spoke ones?
Totally the wrong section
But i have read some threads that aerosol plasticote is the stuff to use
Look at the series 2 forum

No problems at all, I don't even give it a thought as they are perfectly visible.
The old 4-spoke is 16.5 inches diameter.
Ahh do you look over the top of it? I'd like to be able to try a few different sizes! They arnt cheap are they!? I was thinking of one of those 'mountney' copies on eBay. About 40 quid and a boss for about 20..
