what should I put on the dash, in the center

someone thought it was a good idea to put a car stereo onto my series 3 dash (one of the many previous owners) the stereo is now gone, but the holes and cracks are still there. Im not sure about putting a stereo there, so am trying to think of something else to put there so the ugly bit is hidden

so, who's got a good idea? a GPS would go OK there, but it might tempt thieves.

get me an 8 track player and one cassette and ill convert it to take an ipod no fukker will nick that and evryone admires a bit of nostalgia now and then like the original twist n snap radio ( his mothers voice ) i got for me dads classic mgb roadster

perhaps put some brushed aluminium plate or similar over it and add some small gauges (voltage/Amperes/etc)?

How about a small Buddhist shrine?

I can convert one myself used to do a lot of playing around with old stereos myself
