What paint type to use on a Discovery 1 3 Door 300 Tdi 1996.

Afternoon all, My kids love the Tangiers Orange land rovers, LR paint code: LRC.761. I have told them that i would consider painting the olg girl during her maintenance period which has arrived.

The questions are as follows:-

Which paint type is the easiest to work with and dries quickly.?
Which paint type won't react with the existing paintwork?

I did read this months LR Mag and saw the ad on repainting with polyurethane paint but can't seem to find a company that can customise it to Tangiers Orange.

Help would once again be very much appreciated.

if your looking at the l.r.m route , then contact your local bodyshop supplys they will be able to sort you out. if your looking at something that wont react then waterbase is the best product , and clearcoat . but that will cost you a fortune. using 2k is your other route which will air dry , in around 8 hours , but you dont want to be painting that in your garage without a proper mask.

A proper mask is an expensive oxygen fed jobbie - don't consider 2k without it!!!
