Afternoon,

It's that time of year again whereby a full service is due.
It's a 2000 4L V8 Disco 2 Auto (ES) which has covered 120k.

What oil grade would everyone recommend?
What should the spark plug gap be? I'll put some NGK plugs in but would like to know in advance so I can check our local motorfactors supplies the right part!

Thanks in advance :)

Just bought a D2 V8 with 129k that will be getting a full service before taking over daily duties. Rave has a range of acceptable oil grades listed.

Between the above list and my own research across the forums, I've decided to go with 10w40 semi.

Thanks for the info. I tried searching but it wasn't displaying properly on my iphone.
I've just dug out my Rave manual... cheers :) Enjoy the Disco. I keep toying with the idea of selling mine and buying a D3 or RR Sport. However, I worry that by opting for either of these, I'll become more precious over it and won't love it for the same reasons. I love the fact I don't worry about it, can fill it with stuff for the tip, can take it out in the snow and not worry about someone else hitting it, and it's 15 years old so cheap to insure etc etc

Anyhow, enjoy the new car... mine has been superb to me so far. I had new brakes fitted and a new caliper. Aside that it has been faultless. They're great bits of kit!
