What MPG do you get?

Im interested to see what sort of fuel economy people are getting from their Land Rovers. It would be quite easy to build a resource which will give people an idea as to what there vehicle should be doing to the gallon and may pre-empt a few breakdowns.

For this to work we need to know what vehicle and engine and a rough idea of any modifications fitted that are likely to effect economy.

This is what mines doing

Land Rover - Disco 1 300TDI
Transmission - Manual R380 Gearbox
Last tank full returned - 34mpg
Type of Driving - Road work lots of out of town but lots of hills and gear changing, Lightly laden
Mods - Standard apart from Cooper Discover All Terrain tyres.

That sounds very good MPG
I thought you would have been around 25, 30 at a push

distance. 35 mpg.

2002 Td5 110 with 111000 on the clock - stage 3 remap + overdrive.

Best - 33mpg on 2000 mile round trip to the Alps at a steady 60 - 65 mph.

Worst - towing 3.5 t trailer on a regular basis around 24 mpg - not worked it out properly but I can loose 100 miles out of a tank if I'm towing a lot per tank.

Remap has made towing a lot better mind!!

1986 ex MOD 110 N/A motor last time worked it out was just over 29mpg average.
Reckon this drops on lots of hill runs though, but not bad on run at 50-55 mph

Not a lot from defender cherry picker as is on it waight limit & is on 2000rpm all day wile working so not really had a chance to work it out yet

Disco 3 v6 2.7 diesel 25/30 mpg

Defender 110. Mildly tuned 3.9 V8 on carbs with LPG.
Insa Turbo Traction Track tyres.
Roof rack, winch, various other mods.
Mpg around town = 12-14
Mpg at motorway cruise = 16-18
Mpg whilst working = 8-10 :eek::Cry:

2002 td5 90.

I got between 29-32 mpg when I got it on standard boosts and 235/85 general tr's.

With a 2inch lift and 285/75 Cooper st maxx, I now get between 27-30.

I mainly do shortish journeys between 5-15 miles in length .

my 300tdi disco on a run at 50 55mph and not mountainous gets 34 -35 mpg around home where i enjoy the mountain roads and the near straight through exhaust and pump tweaks i get around 20- 28 depending on how im being with the loud pedal and what roads im on and in the forest i get about 15 litres of diesel for a days playing miles vary depending on terrain but i don't care because i pay about 60p a litre of derv whoo

Defender 300tdi 110CSW
R380 gearbox
Insa Turbo Dakar 265/75/16 running at 30psi on road/20psi off
2 " lift
winch bumper

rock sliders
I guess these all add the weight.

and acording to fuelly 26.7mpg over the last year, covering fast(ish) motorway, heavy towing, snow, rain and wind coupled with lots of jolleys on the lanes and some commuting to work.

29-31.
doest seem to make much difference what type of driving I do, round town, long run, towing the van, day of laning. only time it dropped was when I had a leak :)

300tdi 110
no egr, no cat.
235/85/16 ATs
light bar

1993 defender 90
200 tdi on 33-12.5-15 mud terrains
