As said above, if you have any mods that make a difference to handling, upgrade or other ?
A provisional repair that turned out better than the original design?

Best handling mod for me was replacing worn & squidgy trailing arm bushes with correct type. Same for ball joints & steering rods.

Best upgrade was Android stereo & DAB receiver, plus balancing transformers to feed the door amps.
 
Not much, electric cooling so no viscous fan, modified boot button that looks original, is ice proof and cost a fraction of the OEM part and I run both cars with the EKA and immobiliser turned off for reliability.
I forgot, I also have USB charge sockets and volt meter and the Mobiltron 14.7 volt set point regulator.
I never get caught out with flat batteries as all my vehicles are on solar chargers when parked.

EKA and immobiliser turned off, easily the best upgrade i've done.. ;)
What is the best/easiest way of doing this? I see some settings on the Nanocom, but the guide is a little cryptic in what they actually do and the outcome of changing the settings.

Fitted a Grom Bluetooth unit. Keeps the stock stereo and just replaced the CD changer so you can stream music or digital radio from your phone or take phone calls.

Longer shocks and brake lines make a nice difference off road with coils. I liked the idea of the EAS but in many ways it actually handles better on coils and rides 50x better off road instead of bouncing along with the stiff air springs in their raised mode.

High output halogen bulbs made a nice difference to the headlight performance.

Straight thru exhaust to uncork the V8’s sound track.

Resetting the gearbox learning made a big difference to how it drives and responds on road. Although I’d still love it if you could default it to be set to Sports mode by default.
 
Parking sensors front and rear plus a reversing camera probably best for the missus. Auxiliary lower sockets in rear ashtray and boot probably best for the kid. Arnott 3 bags and stainless steel exhaust and foglights also added. I rather like the LED spot hidden by the wheel well that lights up the countryside when I throw it into reverse!

Sounds interesting. I fitted led replacement rev bulbs but the difference is barely noticeable. Got a pics of this wheelwell set up young man? :)

In the BECM settings, just toggle the EKA and immobiliser settings. I can't tell you exactly as I don't have a Nanocom, I yse Fautmate and the screens info is different.

As far as I know it's only possible to use a Nanocom/Faultmate to turn off EKA and immobiliser on the diesel. It is possible to disable the immobiliser on the V8 but that involves soldering a board onto the engine ECU. https://www.rangerovers.net/threads...-never-be-stranded-again.349421/#post-2350905

You can turn off EKA on all cars and as far as I'm aware the immobiliser can also be turned off on the V8, see the post by Henry_b above. The Immobiliser is not actually an immobiliser, it's a re-mobiliser, the BECM sends a code to the engine ECU to Re--mobilise it. Turning off the immobiliser in the BECM actually changes the function from being dependent on receipt of a valid FOB code to being automatic so no reason it shouldn't work on all cars.

I turned them both off on mine and never had an issue, tried all sorts of things to trigger an issue but failed, it simply never needed the eka and just started up straight away.
Guy who bought it from me reckons he got stuck because it was asking for eka but i don't know how it why it what he'd done in the mean time

I'll take a photo next time I am out. Spliced the relay into the reversing wire behind the rear cluster. I ised the Halfords off-road LED reversing bulbs - excellent!
