I have a 1996 2.5tdi discovery and iv'e always thought it was a 200tdi but now i am unsure if its a 200tdi or a 300tdi. I no its a stupid question but im new to this so please forgive.

If you have a single flat serpentine belt driving your fan/water pump/alternator then it's a 300TDi.
Should be a 300Tdi anyways as it's a 1996 model.

Does it have a black plastic cover on the engine? if so it's a 300
