What Lambda sensor.....? help!

Just been told i need 2 x lambda sensors, new maf and a new catalytic converter. Bought the lambda's off ebay, took a week to come, to find they were too big!!!! Anyone know which ones i need and where i can get them from please? My chassis is ....TA320002. For a 1995 HSE 4.6

There are two types Titania and Zirconia. I believe you should have the Titania ones on your motor. Are you sure they are duff ? it is easy to check these with a multimeter. Connect to the black wire and the chassis. When the engine is hot and idling with no load you should see the voltage go up and down between 0v and 4.5 +/- every second or so.

Dont buy MAFs from Ebay. They will cause more trouble than they are worth, dig deep and get a genuine one.

oh i'd say so......CO measurement was 3.6 and the limit is 0.3.......i have sourced some, albeit one from cheltenham and 1 from Evesham!......had to angle grind the exhaust in two, then one of the studs snapped off....oh well, round 2 tomorrow....

And yes....i bought a MAF from ebay.......maybe rather sillily.....£35 delivered.....but, suspect my old one may be ok? May spray it in carb clean and put it back on?

well.....you were right.....the £35, delivered MAF off ebay started causing the car to mis-fire upon revving. Put the old one back on, and rev's as sweet as a nut....just waiting for refund.......

So a double-whammy here, one - the mechanic telling me my MAF was knackered (could have spent £380 !!!!!!) and 2, some dodgy piece of s+++e from ebay.......
