What is this? (Picture)

Hi, i can hear a littel fan or somthing inside this boxs on left side at the picture, and it goes for a very Long time after i turn off the car. I dont know how Long but over 10 minuts. Is it normal?

Its a l322 td6 3.0L 2002

Hi are you taking about the big black box or the little thing in front?

Its called the E box I think and yes there is a fan in there and it does run for a while when switch engine off.

Hi, yeah the big one

kds.... is right its the ecu box and does have a small fan in it but should not run for more than 20 mins....

It’s a miniature hair salon and what you can hear is the gremlins that live inside all range rovers having their hair done.
Nothing to worry about, all perfectly normal.

Right @VegardGH, took note of mine today and by the time unloaded the shopping (no more than 10 minuets) it had stopped running.

Yes thank you, I can never remember if it is 1 tablet 5 times a day or 5 tablets once a day, oh and from now on you can call me margaret
