lol, 'rural' pricing hits us in Christchurch as well and we're the 2nd largest city in the country! Most distribution is done from the North Island so prices get hoicked up here - made worse by the recent quake taking out the main road south from the ferry terminal adding to distribution costs. Even petrol is as much as 10p a liter more expensive on the South Island.

Shouldn't think there's to many young ladies (or men) around - soon as they leave school, they probably go "get a life" in "the city", then move back when they get their bus pass.
