Sorted out the bias on the gearstick, hopefully it'll make the changes a bit nicer. Tried to fill my swivels with grease, what a bloody messy job that is. And sorted my rear brake light. Again.

Put the grease sachets in hot water - it makes 'em easy to pour

Greased prop shaft well some of it.

No grease nipple on front prop at t/box end

Cant the get gun onto front u/j of back prop no matter which way I turn it, the yolk is preventing it.
Might try jacking up on chassis tomorrow instead of axle so as to get more angle on prop.:)

change the nipple then. They make different angel zert fittings

Bought a new speedo cable to stop the jumping speedo needle... not actually fitted it yet though :)

Do you get a 'ticking' noise from behind the dash when the speedo 'jumps'?

If yes, the speedo head is on it's way out...

Have you checked the blue gear at the gearbox end?

or you can convert it to TD5 electronic speedo :D

Opened the drivers side window, heard a clunk, couldn't shut it again! Storm on the way, stripped the door card and window mechanism in a field, managed to get the motor to operate again and the window to shut just before the rain!

Daren't open the window as it might not shut again. Off to look for a "how to fix it"
Fitted a new window regulator, all sweet now.

Took the head lining out to see where the leaks are coming from. No tell tale signs anywhere :( I suppose It's best to remove sunroofs and re seal them as I've gone this far !

Fitted an X Eng split charge to my disco 1. Not a lot of room in the engine bay but didn't want to compromise on boot space so I removed the bottle jack (as I never use it) and made a clamp to put the battery in (quite a tight fit). ran some wire around and bobs your uncle.

Seems to be working

Only took me 4 months to get round to doing it!

Oh and as a consequence of routing around for an ignition live I decided to find out why my lighter socket wasn't working. Turns out it had managed to get completely unplugged! F@£k knows how, but its now fixed.

I can almost guarantee it'll be from the alpine window seals.

Get somebody to run the hose over them whilst you sit inside it.
I had the head lining out of mine a few years ago and noticed them leaking when it was p*ssing it down one day, even though they looked in perfect condition from the outside!

With the long running kitchen resto. nearing completion I managed to get a few hours in in the Landy, and it was dulybooked in for MOT this morning with only two days to spare!
Really pleased it went through with no advisories, Result! :)

whoo got the CB wired up this evening and went for a drive with it on channel 19, and despite my lorry driver neighbour saying no one ever uses them, there were a few people on there. I just need to set the thing up properly with the meter on friday so hopefully it will work and I can hear clearly. Also I dont think people could hear me, but knew I was transmitting something. I assume thats down to set up again. Im new to these contraptions and dad hasnt used this one for 20+years! I'll figure it out somehow.
