I’ve just removed the leaking under seat tank off my series 3 and started to split the lower protective cover from the tank , the inner tank sealer didn’t work now trying to seal the outside

After spending too much having the heater matrix replaced and STILL having barely body temperature air I decided to investigate further with all this time I have

I found a leak in the main radiator so....

Fitted that just now.
The heat in the cab is exactly as I'd expect. Properly warm, verging on hot!

Of course! It was the rear number plate light cover that I couldn't work out. What engine, 1275..with a few Downton parts thrown in for good luck?

I ran low on oil so it had to be done and I've gone for it.
1380cc, big valve head, 270 cam, etc.
An old Land Rover and a Mini, I'm clearly an utter loon!
The place that are doing the work also have this in...

A ruddy great Ferrari V12. My little Leyland 4 pot is in good company.

That Ferrari engine was a circa 20k rebuild

I'd be furious paying £20k for a finish like that...the VHT crinkle finish is of a novice, the filler cap should be matt polished alloy and even worse...they've used chassis black when they should have used proper underhood black. I won't mention how they used/cut the low cost braided/rubber hoses...and they don't even match :( Hope the internals are better...

I applied a couple of coats of POR-15 to the rear crossmember of my Series 3. Pretty straightforward, although a lot of steps and drying time. Hopefully the masking tape will come of ok!

Started my landrover & moved it out the way of the S1. Removed the sheet of the S1 and it fired up on turn 3. Not charged up or ran since October. Love old trusty motors.
Mrs then got in to move it to find no brakes..
No fluid so no trip out. Now the fun starts trying to find S1 parts once she finds where the fluid is leaking from

A neighbour has a fully restored S1...I'm sure he'd be happy to lend some parts ;)
