What have you done to your Landie today.

Refitted a new cb Ariel mount(after re drilling hole) Remove plate to gain easy access.
Tidied up some wiring & emptied some stuff to put tools back inside.

Finally fitted the Allisport full width radiator. Fitted the full intercooler a few months back so the radiator needed an upgrade too. Just need some coolant now.....

I just bought 20 ltrs and its expensive!! I would recommend filling and testing with plain water before replacing with coolant

just a couple liters short, no drips so far. really glad I picked up a halfords trade card!

Took it for its first real drive since I fitted the Disco 200tdi. Such a difference after the 19J.

New starter arrived. Next challenge is to get time to fit it...

Bit of a funny story... it's been purchased by the young Neice for junior trials.
she wanted a new project & at 13 she can now drive. Few mods need to be done like a sliding seat.
Bet when it get to its new home the older nephew will want to race it as it's up to specs.

Now waiting for a phone call to arrange spanner/quality time with her.

Getting there, I found that the alternator had some bad wiring and a roll pin keeping it attached to the bracket
It's a 70A one that is not standard. All fixed and back on with correctly tensioned belts

Should be running tomorrow fitted a set of gauges too

Bank Holiday Weekend - Front Suspension Time

Before

Just done a gearbox oil and filter change - all the fixing came undone a treat apart from the filter nut. Had to use a breaker bar to get it going and in the process knocked the oil catch pan everywhere . Anyroad the job is done now and my drive has been power washed again

I also fitted the new rubber hub cap and cleaned away all the grease from the rim.

Spotlights fitted

Fitted new rad and a Revotec electric fan.

... and then find a hose is leaking that I hadn't even touched!!!!
siphon off a liter, take of the alternator and found the culprit. lose jubilee clip! found a turbo hose was also a bit lose. 5 min job took an hour half!!

I have been around all my pipework and hopefully all is tight. It started first go so I will fill it up with coolant tomorrow
Here's hoping I get as good a result as you!!
