Today I have discovered what the banging on the back of my discovery was. Rear shocker to axle mountings have nearer 18mm holes instead of the 13mm they meant to be and the ends of the shockers are well worn too, so have just ordered 2 new shox and brackets from paddocks lets just hope the wheather holds at the weekend cos the disco's too big to fit in my garage:(

Painted me wheels black.
Fink they looks way betterer than the flaking silver that was on them.

them black ones look very mean and moody, i fitted some nooo original 750s today - and blinged up my front mounted towball, have an awful feeling that my trusty ever reliable 110 is now going to let me down and fall apart overnight now that it's got a rubber towball cover on it orf a froggy thing

Changed the gearstick bias plate and springs today on my classic, this time I checked it was lined it up properly before I put the console ect back in:D.While it was all stripped I sorted out the electric window switch wiring to the passenger front window which is now also working.

Lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of welding on the rangey!
Removed all the abs bollocks, air suspension bollocks! Finally getting somewhere, mot friday hopefully all will be sorted!

You do know about the Abs rules on MOT's yeah? Because if the light don't come on, is removed, or anything like that it can fail..

You may want to do something where the light was on the dashboard aswell, Because that shows it had ABS fitted....

you cant see it if the lights not lit so it will be fine. Did this to my old rangey with abs and had no problems. in fact i know several people who've done this to loads of them without problems. Damn sight more reliable without it in my opinion. Some scary **** when that starts playing up, happened to me twice now so i just binned the lot!
However the abs on my 23 year old BMW is perfect!

Only if it has ABS fitted :D

I've done all me Oils and fluids to day Oh and the Landies as well :p and changed the oil filter. Straightened the steering wheel and refitted the speedo cable that had come undone when I was fitting the Voltmeter the other day. Got the pin for me DB sliding hitch plate. It's all coming together nicely now.
