What have you done to your Landie today.

Got the 90 a nice shiny new battery.....Reckon I might be able to get it started now without needing to roll it down the drive.

Fitted a new steering belt and checked all the levels

Went to the exhust place that gave a quote over the phone Thursday.
Chap walks out & now the £150 piece is now only £80.
Oh & this is stainless & made to measure. Which makes it cheaper... work that out.
In tommorow for fitting

Fitted the new battery, starts proper like now.....80Ah, 800CCA AGM fro £112 , aint going to complain.

Also greased all my nipples.......nice...Checked my air filter and dropped the wading plugs.

All good, now roll on a few lanes and hopefully soome of that white stuff.

Is on my list to do....must hunt out the petroleum jelly..........do not want a sticking or torn entry point......

Rear pipe made/fitted. Back box has always fallen off as they are past the bracket, so not one on this
Only problem is joining bracket needs spinning round so the u bolt don't drag in the mud/grass.

Took an angle grinder to the bulkhead and chopped out half the drivers side footwell and pillar.

Oh my wiper arm fell off again so modified (mk2)again.
Marked spline,Removed arm, get battery angle grinder, grind a flat spot for the screw to get a good grip on.
If it falls off again I'm going to metal weld the adapter to the arm

Booked my motor in for MOT Saturday.
Cheeky mot man says to the apprentice these sheds always fail.
I look surprised & ask if the can provide free welding for any holes they find?
I Walk out with a grin as it's galv chassis/bulkhead.

Fielded a big parcel from paddocks.
Routered my home made cubby box to fit perfectly
Fitted new mud guards ( old flooring)
Replaced the knackered bonnet striker, and found out that not only didn't I need the bonnet plate I'd ordered, they're sent me two, and they didn't fit anyway

Changed the lock barrel on the back door.
Tried to change the lock barrel on the front door, and found, after stripping the door down to get to the locks, they don't fit.
I suspect as I have a 1986 , there are still a few late series 3 bits on it...I wonder how many other surprises like this I'll have!

Adjusted the alternator belt.
Changed front diff input seal.

Well it passed its mot today.
Please note the breakfast on the wing was not a bribe

Lined out the back of a 90 with plywood to make a dog carrying system that my wife approves of, and still work with skis, tools and everything else.

Drove up to the ski resort, and decided I can actually ski faster than the car goes....that should be a bumper sticker!

Well, I managed to get into the garage today. The pedal box went back in far easier that it came out!!

I then spent two hours trying to get the flexi-pipe removed from the bracket
Finally it yielded to my persuasion

I will put it all back together tomorrow ready for it's Christmas outing to Lincolnshire

Cut the rot out of Seat Box where the seat brackets reside...
Sandwich plate now in, mastic and rivets (Did the middle first)

Two more tomorrow when I thaw out...

Then under seal, sound proofing, brackets, carpet, seat reinstall......

Well when I started it was bit nippy to say the least then a couple of hours later it went bloody dark ohhh and had to seam seal..... that stuff is horrendous to work with but I hope it helps keeping some water
