What have you done to your Landie today.

Ermm - done nothing today = MOT time

Drove it around quite a bit. With and without a divan bed on the roof Rebuilt cylinder head and replaced boost diaphragm have really made a difference to the old TD

I've almost had enough! I do something to it every day, but if one ( or two or three) more things go wrong, that's it, up for sale ... driving me nuts and bolts ...

Some LED lights for my interior came today. Very bright but you can see a distinct square pattern on the inside of the plastic covers when they're on. The old filament bulbs gave a more diffuse, if somewhat dark brown light. I can see to read inside now.

stripped out most of dash to access the wiper running gear. ball ache of a job really, trust LR to put a few fixings a nice easy to get at places, NOT!

Fixed it.
FIP changed, re timed, new pushrods, new cambelt, and she runs.
Very lumpy, but she runs, currently putting it down to valve clearances being way out, not done em yet, valve caps are that worn, ive ordered a new set, so I'll set em after that.
If its still lumps, i must have got the belt a notch out... again... :/

spend the day rubbing the rear tub down ready to take all the body work to the paint shop next week

fitted new turbo

I have cleaned the EGR valve by taking it off and the other hoses. There is bit of judder i thought this should solve. I am not getting the judder now but not sure whether it is fixed yet. so I am monitoring for now!!

removed breather hose end from air intake and re-routed to a handy size bottle. In preparation for an intercooler clean

Stripped the cylinder head off due to water in the oil.

Fitted new window channel
Re fitted the seatbelt and the odd bracket between that is door and rear of truck cab.

Then fitted new passender seat, remove and refitted new drivers seat as wasnt happy with the fit.

Took it off the ramp, looked at missus golf ( mot failure today) landrover back on wheel swap, took rear towing eye off ready for plating

Fitted new cable eye to heater box...

Broke it.

Covered it with mud inside and out, just for the look of it, y'know?

Snapped a bolt in the thermostat housing Off to get hold of a screw extractor and taps...

today i dropped off loads of bits at the paint shop
rear tub etc to get painted
getting excited now
and then went to collect a replacement roof that i had purchased
