What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

Busy Day

Fitted a new aerial, can now listen to the Archers
Refitted the roof lining and interior trim
Riveted on the replacement rear quarter light cluster
Got all the lights refitted - still have earth gremlins…
Fitted the work light and ran the wiring forward
Started carpet fitting in the tub

Tomorrow, the rats nest of wiring where the trailer socket was spliced in…..nightmare

Finished off the bulkhead corner repairs with some skim filler, primer and Trident Green.
Far from perfect but not out of place with the dings, dents, scratches and patination of my 36 year old Landy

Painted the front half of the chassis today. I used Corolless chassis in one paint from arcrite and it seems to have gone on ok.
This will next get a coat of something oily inside the rails, and finally a coat of Lanoguard once the resto. is finished.

Went for a long drive,A Roads and B Roads, bumpy tracks and the Fosse Way- went like a train (well, relatively speaking)

Rejoiced in the fact that it a) started, b) stopped and then c) re-started when I wanted it to…

Little wins…

Heehaw. Moved it around the driveway a little bit and that's it. Need to get it out for a drive before I forget what it feels like

Your lucky you can drive it at all mate. Mine is still in bits and the Disco is still immobilised. They are like two big ornaments sitting on my drive

Aye true, I've just been busy and it's no fuel which doesnt help lol but I'm off at the end of this week so it's getting taken out camping for a night or two.
If you need a hand or any bits let me know, I'm sure I've got some spare parts lying around

Cheers mate. I’ve been onto Historic Land Rovers at JLR, but they want everything up to and including a DNA sample to ensure I am who I say I am before they can help. I might have exaggerated with the DNA bit but it feels that way They are starting to thaw out I think and I might be getting somewhere with getting the EKA code. If it’s the same as the one I have I’m goosed as it isn’t working. Next step will be the BCU going to Richard at RangeRover Electronics for refurb at just shy of £200

Put the pedals and master cylinders back on today as well as a few other bits of bulkhead stuff.

10mm rubber stable mat cut to fit, grooved underside to let any water drain - one sheet of 6x4 did the footwell mats as well….£45!

Good tip. I’ll look it up.

Lots done today. Made up a new brake pipe across the front of the chassis.
De-rusted, painted and installed the fan shroud.

Painted the expansion tank (brass! Posh)

And lastly cleaned and primed the so-called ‘heater’ ready for a coat of paint tomorrow.

Oh, and ran the engine for the first time. Yay.

Fitted new belts and painted up the pulleys and mounting/tensioner plate etc. Rebuilt the swivel and refitted the radiator, after rubbing down and painting the radiator housing.

It’s rewarding isn’t it - but quite a bit of work. I painted the round timing cover black on mine too.

I just noticed that was looking a bit shabby on mine today. I’ll paint it tomorrow.
