Did some light stuff to my 110 project

Did a tiny bit more work fixing the MOT failures. Refitted the propshaft that I replaced the UJs in and painted.
Shock turret was a bit trickier, as expected every single ring nut snapped off. Then the lower shock nut was so rusted on that I started to chisel it off. So I might as well replace both shocks and turrets while I'm at it.

Or could it be portofino red?
I took it to the paint shop, and they were busy and didn’t have time to use the camera and computer for the colour. They advised getting in touch with Land Rover Chester. I phoned them up, and now have the paint code.

390. Portofino red solid.

:) :D

wrestled with the A frame bush on my 110 project, nuts came undone, bolts immovable, had wd40 all bolts

think it is either going to be heat or maybe under suspension arm on nut side and see if i can get that off and if that eases it at all

probably sized on the metal sleeve in the bush

any top tips out there ?

Cut off the metal on the inside of the bolt then press the rest out

If you can get the nut off on the opposite side to the red dot there it will be easier or is that the problem your having, I’m more of a hands on person find it hard to explain haha

so are you saying cut the bush

then remove the whole A frame unit including suspension arms from axle

then press out the 2 pinch bolts and the remains of the bush

then undo the 4 x 13mm bolts and remove the remainder and press last of bush out..

Absolutly nothing more than walk past it on the way to the SAAB that I'm prepping to sell in the next week or so. I'm trying to be good and ride the bike into work:D:D:D

Gutted mine are in bits we have snow and am going to have to use the warrior for lamping...best stay on the farm roads or i will be set...

a cold long walk home with a section 1 firearm over your shoulder would not be funny or appealing

hope to have one or both on the road by end of the month

eventually won the fight with the broken bush in the A frame on my 110 project

and had a frank conversation with a diesel pump specialist who told me both the Bosch ve pumps of my 90 were knackered, claimed they were siezed and no output, it was running pre taking off and def had diesel output and you could turn it over, having a conversation in person on Wed,,,
