What do we think of this 200?

I've had a 300 tdi, a RR P38 and I currently have a Series 3 for weekends. I am interested in a Disco 200 and have seen this one advertised on eBay. It looks right, blue Conran interior, 2 door with decals and apparantly 1 owner and it's on a G plate too (not a G WAC unfortunately!)

If the bodywork, sills, arches etc are straight and true it seems a fair price.

What's the verdict please?

I should expect the sills and boot floor to have been replaced with gold plate for that!

and do i spot rust on the boot door???

i think the body work could be the key. It's hard to tell from the pics, but 125,000 miles for a 21 year old vehicle is nothing. It's a long shlepp to go and see it from where I live though, so a few questions to the dealer might be order.

I'm struggling a bit driving my S3 and the 2.25 4 cyl petrol engine, whilst lovely, is a bit thirsty. I had a lovely old 2 door 300 tdi and I wish I'd kept that to be honest. I'm in the process of selling the Series 3 and when I do I'll go back to a cheap diesel Disco for more practical pottering at weekends and as a bit of a hobby.

I didn't think a grand was too bad either Nathan. I like the original look, wheels, decals, etc if the body's right with 12 months MOT, what is a grand?

A grands nothing for a good'un to keep, go have a look.

The auction on my S3 finishes tomorrow night so if it hits the reserve I'll take a look when I have the cash.
