What do these numbers mean on gear box

Hi Guys,
Does any body know what these number mean on the number plate of my gear box. I know that the ones at the bottom are to identify the gear box but what about these more prominent ones are starting with the letter "M"?????

Ashcrofts re-stamp a gearbox when they have been rebuilt might be one from them
