As it says !
My clutch pedal is rite at the top and I need to change it quick and unsure what I need to buy "
I don't want to take my box out and then have to get a clutch, I'd rather have a new clutch waiting so I can pull it out and throw a new one straight in as I use it for work every day
Anyway, I've got a 90 defender truck cab, but it's got a 2.8 Isuzu engine fitted out of it..
I'm presuming its out of a trooper ?? But unsure to be honest so any help would be great !
Do I buy a landy clutch?
Do I buy a trooper clutch?
Or do I have to buy both and put the landy friction plate on a trooper pressure plate???
I'm unsure and want to know everything I can find out before I start it !
If you need anymore pics, don't hesitate to ask !
Thanks

If you don't know what clutch is fitted how do you expect us to, have you no paperwork about the conversion, otherwise best to remove and source when you bits in your hand

because its easy... the clutch assy has to fit the flywheel......the clutch plate has to fit on the gearbox input splines, but be the correct diameter for the clutch assy.

but the 2.8 Isuzu injun is, or was, a common conversion.

The installation instructions I have for the 2.8 conversion kit from Conversion & Precision stipulate that 1mm washers must be installed between pressure plate and flywheel. That's when using LR clutch plate and Isuzu pressure plate, so could be to take account of a difference in depth between Isuzu and LR pressure plates, maybe the LR clutch plate is 1mm thicker, or the position of the flywheel might be slightly different on the Isuzu.

And this is why ropey conversions shouldn't be done. Major headache down the line!!

It's not a **** conversion mate, it's quite a neat Job to be fair, I just don't know much info on it tho as I didn't do it !
It must be a common conversion, as I've seen a good few pics with others that have the same lump fitted
