What are my Chances?

OK, up at crack of dawn, rip up new BODGED boot floor over t top of old rotton one...then rip out old metal wermed boot floor, weld in new one (propper job) back together and get over to garage before 2pm and MOT'd??


Thats the plan anyway....

Be prepared to find more (or less!) than you expect under the old floor. Mine needed repairs to the sides and two new floor supports. Not a quick job.

Yeh, I know...I will have plenty of steel sheet (From boot and what already got) and got lots of welding wire!!!!
My only enemy is time, not skills and not resorces LOL!

Well started at 10am and as far as last pic by 5pm
Will get it finished off tomorrow, flipin Grinder give up up...so more expence..had to get a new one. Sides had gone a bit but arches are are good so will plate from arch to new floor. Looks better than it was!!!
And a few tins of Hanerite Silver will finish it off too...






So all being well it will be MOTd and taxed next Sat!!
Back sore....enjoy this, but not getting any yunger.................

Hay I was up at 7am!!! Wife just corected me it was 930am I started as was on it when she left for Shopped at 10:45am!! So nerner...

What the feck was the bodged floor made out of?

Not one, not two but three sheets of steel.....real *&^( to get out unlike the old original floor which almost fell out...well, half of it, in fact thats about what was left about half of it!! LOL
Anyway...it may not be the best job in the world tho Edd China has been to my House and said that my welding is very good (true this, came to look at my Porsche for a TV show few years ago, Nice and as tall as he looks) but it will be very very solid and much better than the last repair!! And plenty of Worm repelant!!!! Tin Worm!

MOT'd and Taxed!!! (Was insured when I got it) so all road legal!!! (Thanks everyone that assisted in advice etc as none of you offered to weld it for me LOL!!)

Now its titivation time....all the little jobs...to make it not mint but better if yah get mi....

Now has clear front and side indicators...they make such a differance I think! Also colour coded the wing mirrors!
But looking good for 20 years old!

Will get some new Pics up when it light enough for them...p-ing down and dark now!!

Colour coding the mirrors sounds good, though I guess it would have to be a good job or would look bodgy - Stick the pics up for those too when you get the chance, I'm interested in seeing that!

As requested....Colour Coded Wing Mirrors and Clear Indicators...
I have a set of Unusual Fog lights to go on...they have a Side light bulb in as well...
So will have an LED side light running as a DRL...should look good...
Front Bumper need to come off for that so will re paint...not sure if to colour code also or leave Matt Black?

How did you fit the lights in the under bumper skirt? Could you kindly let us have some details please?

I would, but believe they are standard on the ES...I did not fit them...
