Hmmm think ill give silverdale a miss with my AT's (and a standard series 3) also look out for me, grey series 3 88 van, cream roof and a rad muff :)
 
Silverdale is brilliant fun! I loved it there! One of the best sites I've been! We might try and go on the 15th as well. We will be happy to show/drag you around if need be?

FYI, Weston Coyney is an old SAND quarry, so its not soil at all. Its mostly rocky and thin amount of sand with some bits which are muddy. To be honest its almost impossible to get yourselves stuck unless you really try!

Now silverdale.... thats a completely different story. Mud tyres are a must, otherwise you wont get off the road lol.

Will the sand cause any problems with the landy eg getting into the brakes or any seals etc

Nah, its not a beach. I've been loads of times without trouble. Some are wary of going through the lake bit due to worries about sand getting in but I think its fine.

I've had a couple of small stones in the brakes but it soon comes out.
 
What is everyone driving in? Need to know who to look out for ? As ive said, im an 88 series 3 van style grey body cream roof and a rad muff :)
 
Can't remenber the postcode, but type in 'handley banks weston coyney' into google maps,you will see the site just east of that road, hope that helps:)
