well i was doing good but now i have a left front window that works but bangs when up all the way and the display says its not set and it is also the sunroof works fine but the display allways says its not set. and the lower tailgate cable broke and i cant find a new one. any help on these stupid problems would be great

i have the same with my rhs frony window apparently its the teeth on the mechanism

New window regulator required, easy DIY job. Sunroof just needs to go through the setting proceedure. Tailgate cable available from various suppliers.

i havent tried it yet but iv heard to set windows and sunroof...etc..etc all you need to do is: press button for the window down and hold for 5 secs after its stopped then all the way up and hold for 5 secs then the car takes a reading and that should be it set. if you try this can you let me know the outcome. thanks

This is correct as the BECM makes the setting when the motor stalls, ie the window stops moving while the button remains pressed. However that assumes a working regulator etc. If the teeth are stripped then it will probably miss and jerk and thus confuse the BECM.

i found the tailgate cable online. and will try the button thing for the sunroof when i go pick up my wife. as for the window it goes up and down just fine but no auto up or down. put it up and it closes all the way,but it bangs as long as you hold the button down only after its closed.and the display says window not set the whole time its in motion. ok the sun roof is good now

Teeth are gone on the regulator, so instead of the motor stalling and signaling to the BECM that the window is closed, it just jumps and confuses the BECM. You need a new window regulator, it's a common fault. To set the sunroof you need to open and hold, close and hold, tilt and hold and finally close and hold, then you should get a message sunroof set.

thats exactly the same as my drivers side one
