Hi, just finished painting my set of newly acquired Weller 8 spokes. I just wondered if you can fit them the other way round to give a deeper dish/off-set for stability? And if so any problems with contact? I have a 2 inch lift and so far only have 205/80/16 on them so clearance should be ok. I have read a post saying the bolt holes are tapered to center the wheel on the hub, but mine seem to be straight edged
I've seen a few sets of these in pictures and some look as though they have a much deeper dish to them, so wondered if they had simply turned them around. Obviously the spokes angle outward when fitted normal way round so I would think they might contact the brake caliper etc if fitted round the other way but any one done this to confirm?

Why would you want to do that in the first place......its not going to effect anything on those puny tyres

If you want to get more stable buy wider tyres on offset rims, wouldn't suggest cutting and welding wheels unless you're competent and if you are then turn a set of spacers on a lathe too if not again buy some second hand

Cheers for comments Dr Evil, I found some more threads since posting this and yeah it sounds like a non starter. I originally looked at them and couldn't see any bevel or chamfer on the bolt holes but on better light today there is a slight bevel to self centre the wheels on the nuts. So the correct way round will do me. I never want to go down the route of fat tyres as think they ruin the handling and feel (I know its a 2.5t Landy) so only wanted a wider track but will settle for what I got. :0)
