well done tc90.i bet the previous carb owner has put the jets in wrong,or he has been poking them with a bit of wire or even worse a tiny drill bit to try and clean them out.

i think they have been drilled or poked out with something, prob like gas welding files or something, ah well, am off to craddocks this week to pick another carb up, shame really , i was getting a bit of good progress this last few weeks,

well, a new webber carb solved the running issues nice and easy,
started wirin up the dynamo and voltage regulator
started on dash too
fitted filler neck
made a switch panell
have been using split conduit for the rewire, as you can always add another few wires later on
no need for posh looms, far to many bits you dont need
honk honk
fitted seats yesterday

aye now thats comin along lovely but just a little question
in pic 1 does the wire from the dynamo need some kind of heat shield from where it passes the exhaust downpipe or is it ok to just have it clipped to the wing when its fitted ??
its a little concern i have on my landy too

iv clipped it to the wing , seems far enough away

thats what ive done for now but in toying with the idea of knocking up some kind of shroud out of the heatproof plate stuff from a fiesta manifold just incase it wasnt

yesterday we fiished the wiring, put all the bolts in the body,
stripped and rebuilt the lucas wiper motors and wired in, ajusted clutch, just the dash to fit, tidy few wires up and final ajustment of brakes then its off to the mot man tuesday.
