One other thing, I see you have hand painted the door frame with primer. Are you intending painting the panels with primer by hand also? Then the colour by hand or spray?
I have painted car parts before.....however nothing like a landy.
The method I used ( not including all the sanding and prep work ect ) was primer x3, colour x6-8, clear laquer x3.
This seemed to come out ok, however Im not sure a landy really requires the same standard as a modern car, do people even laquer them for instance?
What do most people do and recomend?
I have a compressor and spray guns....and brushes and rollers lol

i can clearly see you work to an exeptionaly high standard because of wich i just gotta ask do you do landy rebuilds for a livving or is it a long standing passion coz im loveing this thread and reading with serious enthusiasm cant wait to see her finnished

she needs to tie him to that toolchest hes got we'd probably see plenty of action then
still a hell of a project though if it ever gets finished i can imagine its gonna be a real show stopper the way hes going at it

Welcome back Trucky......someone said you was dead.......or had been worn out, can't remember which:D:D:D

evening all,

the bare bulkhead and grill panel have come back from the shotblasters today , front panel only needng the bottom rail replacing and a few blobs of weld to seal a couple of pin holes and unused fixing holes,

the bulkhead requiring a little more in places, the usual , footwells, central tunel , door pillar bottoms and feet, nothing too serious considering the age ,

pics to come later when me cameras charged again ,

still not been doing a lot as part way thru moving workshops etc, chassis is on its way in next two weeks :)

Thought you'd gone and got trapped again.....did I tell you I got a car in me garage....in one piece

i shifted those blue series 2 panels of yours today , and the truckcab, taken them down the unit, ready for stripping , shiftin the old chassis down there monday too, ordered the sections so will build a nce second project out of it later next year , not to the same quality as this ser2 am affraid, but a decent every day runner,

so ........ more to the point si, did yer get chance to paint this ere motor or what ?
